Each oilfield or rig crew has a complete team with exactly the required skill set for the job at hand. Every leading oil company is careful to select the very best choices in manpower. Through decades of trial, error and refinement they know the value of experience and on-going training and certification.

At the same time, technology that can improve safety and efficiency is being continuously developed. Every time there is an opportunity to improve safety, drilling times and costs (and obviously the bottom line profit), this will happen.

The question is, what does a performance consultancy know that a oil company executive or rig manager doesn’t?

Some would argue nothing…

It isn’t lonely at the top!

In every industry, peak performers have coaches and advisors. Olympic athletes, business leaders and country prime ministers and presidents have them, in fact it is hard to imagine rising to the pinnacle of success without help.
