This page is here partly as an EU regulatory requirement, but more importantly as an opportunity to explain clearly our values towards your privacy.
The main goal for our website is to showcase our services and to network with our peers in the oil and gas industry. We believe in nurturing authentic relationships built on trust and respect. The best way for us to start this process is by communicating through our website, social media, and through email.
Any tracking or data collection is done in order to help us facilitate this main purpose of relationship building.
Your email address
We collect email addresses of people who voluntarily email us, or fill in an email request box. We collect your name, company name, job title, and email address only at this stage. The email request boxes are set up as a ‘double opt-in’. This means that you will get a confirmation email to double check that you are interested in receiving updates from us. The double opt-in is partly for your security so that we know that it was you who submitted the email address. The other reason is so that we can fully comply with anti-spam regulations.
Every email that we send you will have an ‘unsubscribe’ link. This means that you can easily unsubscribe at any time.
We will not sell your email address to any third parties for any reason. The owners of Relentless Pursuit of Perfection Ltd. also owns Drillers.com and My-Spread.com. We reserve the right to pass on your details to these ‘sister’ companies and they might send you a single email with an opportunity to opt-in to their updates. Other than that your email address will not be passed to anyone for any reason unless legally forced to do so.
Other personal information
We understand that in a competitive industry, discretion is extremely important. We always exercise the utmost discretion while dealing with the privacy those who have chosen to work with us.
The reason why we take the security of your information so seriously is two fold. Firstly it is a core value in relation to our business model. Secondly, it would not make sense for our databases to fall into the hands of our competition.
At any time, for any reason you can request to see the information that we have on file about you. We will delete this if asked to do so.
What do we do with information that we collect?
We require the information that we collect in order to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and also for the following reasons:
- We may use collected information to improve our products and service.
- Internal record keeping.
- We will probably send promotional emails about new products, offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
- At some point we might decide to use our data records to facilitate online advertising campaigns.
Social media privacy
If you click on any social media related links on our website, there will be ‘cyber evidence’ of this. For example if you click on our Twitter link and go to our Twitter page, Twitter will know that you have been referred by us. If you read an article and click ‘LIKE’ then Facebook will obviously be aware.
We will not post anything personal to you on any place online, without your explicit permission. In fact we can’t think of a good reason for doing this under any circumstance anyway.
If you are concerned about social media privacy then each social media site will have guidance pages to allow you to adjust your security settings.
Links to other websites
rp-squared.com.com contains links to many other websites of interest. This is how the internet works, ‘net’ is short for network. Once you have clicked on these links to leave our website, you should remember that we do not have any control over any content that you find while surfing the web.
Accuracy of the information that we publish
We carefully research and do our best to verify all details that we publish. If at all possible we will go to official company, government and NGO sources to verify that what we are writing is completely accurate.
When we do this we will usually provide a link to our source. Some of the written material on the site will be written by third parties. For example:
- A visitor to our site decides to write a comment on an article based on their personal opinion.
- A visitor to our site decides to write a review or fill in a survey.
- A outside writer agrees to write an interesting article based on their experiences in a particular location or with a particular company.
Third party opinions are simply that. They do not represent the opinions of Relentless Pursuit of Perfection Ltd. or its employees. While every effort is made to delete or edit obviously misleading or ‘internet troll’ type information, please use your own discretion when forming opinions.
